The hotel Sonngastein is in Bad Gastein, around 85 kilometers south of Salzburg, and is easily reached by car or train. Traveling by car it is a comfortable hours drive from Salzburg on the A10 Tauern Autobahn, just exit to "Gasteinertal" and follow the road for another 40 kilometers.

Bad Gastein is easy to reach by rail, with direct connections from every large town and city in Austria and Germany, plus many towns in Switzerland and Italy.

The children will be delighted with the variety of activities: basketball, hockey, peddle go-carts, in-line skating, a professional trampoline area, bouncy castle, kids Ariel slide, a fairytale castle with children's cinema, plus much more to do. There's always someone there to play with, and should you ever find your kids have disappeared, there's only one place to look - the adventure hall!

Childrens club

A supervised children's club with a varied activity programme is included in the attractive family packages. Open in summer from Monday to Friday 10.00 until 17.00 and during the winter season Monday to Friday from 09.00 until 16.00 and 16.30 until 19.00 hours.

A point of interest for parents: the hotel has deliberately excluded any type of electronic games and toys from the adventure hall, with good reasons. Experience shows that children don't miss them for a second and instead make the most of what they often have too little time for, namely playing, enjoying sport and letting off steam with other kids!

Offers lots for teenagers & youths

They will remember forever the football, basketball, indoor hockey and icehockey matches in the adventure hall and on the hotel-own ice skating rink respectively. Or they will happily think back of the funny tabletennis or tablefootball tournaments with their dad and the films they watched with mum in the hotel cinema "Die Pupille" Especially teenagers will find attractive activities in the weekly programme (summer season only) that covers approximately 15 hours during the week.
