Hotel Santa Isabel**** - Rust

Guests of Europa-Park can live like monks or nuns - whilst living it up in luxury! Next to the Spanish hotel El Andaluz, a new establishment is being built in the style of an old Portuguese monastery with all the comforts and conveniences of a modern 4-star superior hotel.
All in all approximately 290 beds are available in 66 rooms (up to 6 persons), eight of them are suites. All rooms are themed in Portuguese design. Bathroom with shower/toilet and hair-dryer, Sat TV, telephone.
Three conference rooms, lobby, swimming pool (indoor/outdoor), air-conditioned hotel rooms, wellness area.

During your stay you will be surrounded by a monastic and contemplative atmosphere, combined with a lot of lovely details and luxury. The 66 family rooms and themed suites are air-conditioned and will impress you with their authentic decoration and exceptional ambiance. Enter the worlds of famous Portuguese celebrities such as "Fernando Magellan" in one of the 8 themed suites.

 

Standard rooms

Furnished to suit families up to 6 persons, with bunk beds for children up to a height of 1.75 metres, designed in a monastic style, sometimes with an open bath that is only divided from the bedroom by a wall, with shower/toilet.

Trinitarier

The religious order of the Trinitarians, a Catholic monastic order, has been the inspiration for this themed room. Stone floors and mural paintings that show the Trinitarians´ emblem emphasize the monastic design of the room. You can take a seat on leather armchairs or on a red couch while your children may be already sleeping in the bunk bed (for children up to a height of 1.75 metres). Spacious bathroom with bath tub/toilet , balcony with a view to the swimming pool of the hotel „Santa Isabel" and to Europa-Park, mini-bar, air-conditioned, connecting door to the themed room "Afonso V", for 4 persons.

 

Alfonso V. The African
This themed room displays the passion for Africa and seafaring, that the former King of Portugal, Alfonso V.; who has given the name to this particular themed room, was famous for. Elephants, lions and tigers decorate the walls, curtains as well as the bedspread of the comfortably furnished room, which also features a bunk bed for children up to a height of 1.75 meters. Bathroom with shower, view to the pool of the hotel 'Santa Isabel' and to Europa-Park, mini-bar, air-conditioned, connecting door to the themed room 'Trinitarier', for 4 persons.

 

Diego Cao
The themed room 'Diego Cao', which is dedicated to the Portuguese navigator and discoverer, is an inviting corner room. Brown stone walls display a touch of Africa in a bright room, equipped with mural paintings. The window shades in the style of an ancient map will certainly put you into a fantastic holiday mood. Take a seat on the leather chairs or armchairs and enjoy the view to several directions. Fernando Pessoa
Two large portraits of the famous lyricist Fernando Pessoa (1886-1935) decorate the themed room which is named after this famous poet. Furnished with a leather lounge suite, the spacious room offers a bunk bed for children up to a height of 1.75 meters. The knotted carpets on the bright stone floor guarantee a familiar ambiance. The pillows as well as the bedspread, which display a book theme, will make you feel as if being in a library. Luis de Comoes

Already when entering the themed room "Luis de Comoes", the blue window shutters will catch your attention. The embroidered bedspread with book themes and the pillows display the passion of the Portuguese poet. The bright carpets on the stone floor put the brown leather armchairs in proper surroundings. Children up to a body height of 1.75 meters will find a comfortable place to sleep in the bunk bed. Themed Suites

Each themed suite is unique because of its individually themed design. Here you can enter the worlds of glorious Portuguese seafarers and enjoy a royal and monastic ambiance. You may look forward to 'Henry the Seafarer´, 'Vasco da Gama' or 'Fernando Magellan' and other themed suites

 

Abbey
The principal of an abbey, the abbot, would certainly feel very comfortable in this place. A red couch and a red armchair on the dark wood floor in the living area, which also features a bunk bed for children up to a height of 1.75 meters, guarantee a comfortable atmosphere. A lamp with an angel design and mural paintings with angels, an abbey and an abbot underline the monastic atmosphere. Also the bed chamber is designed in red colours, dark red and golden curtains adorn the windows. Pedro Alvares Cabral
Pedro Alvares Cabral, the person this themed suite is named after, is known for his discovery of Brazil during his expedition to India. In the living area with a bunk bed for children up to a height of 1.75 meters, the recurring themes are extraordinary maps in the shape of elephants on the coat rack and on the pillows. Detailed paintings of ships which form the borders on the walls as well as an inviting seating area with two leather armchairs complete the cosy ambience. Beach atmosphere can be found in the bedroom: White and airy cotton curtains are waving in a light breeze. A braided wicker chair, braided lampshades, white marble bedside tables and a white wardrobe with braided patterns complete this Indian dream. Magellan
Fernando Magellan has not only given the name to the Strait of Magellan but also to this themed suite. A red sofa and a leather armchair, an old map painted on cotton, lamps with elephant themes, huge paintings of ships and wardrobes looking like ship cabins will make you feel as if being in a different world. A colourful elephant picture adorns the bright bedroom. Children up to a height of 1.75 meters may sleep in the bunk bed in the living area. Vasco da Gama
The colours blue and white are dominating the living and sleeping area of this maritime suite. Refreshing colours which can be found on the curtains, the wardrobes and carpets will make you want to travel to faraway shores. A wicker table, maritime pieces of baggage, a glass table with a seafarers´ map, shells, a compass, a lamp made of shells and an extraordinary wine rack guarantee a genuine maritime ambience in the living area, which is furnished with a blue sofa, two armchairs and a bunk bed for children up to a height of 1.75 meters. The blue bed frame blends in well with the curtains and the head part of the double bed in the beautiful bedroom. Henry de Seafarer
This themed suite is dedicated to the life of Henry the Seafarer who has initiated famous maritime expeditions. A treasure chest, a folding desk and a table with braided top promise an unforgettable stay. The bunk bed for children up to a height of 1.75 meters is integrated into the bright living area, which is equipped with red and green curtains. The same colours underline the comfortable atmosphere in the bedroom. A photography of the beach of your dreams in a faraway country creates a wonderful ambiance. Sagrado Suites

 

Prior

Angelic designs on the walls and lamps decorate the spacious Suite 'Prior'. Through a sacristy in the anteroom you can enter the living room with a bunk bed for children up to a body height of 1.75 meters. Two comfortable armchairs, a huge red sofa as well as high-quality furniture mixed with antiques in monastic design create a comfortable atmosphere. The bed chamber welcomes its guests with a red and golden bedspread and an insinuated canopy made of red cloth. Elegant bathroom with typical Portuguese, white and blue tiles displaying an angel, bath tub with shower, separate toilet, balcony with view of the opposite hotel "Colosseo", minibar, air- condition, for 4 persons.

 

Santa Isabel

This Suite displays a truly monastic atmosphere. The terracotta walls are decorated with ornamental hand-painted borders and a number of small highlights and details provide a calmatmosphere. The living area is characterised by a cosy red couch and heavy red and golden curtains, a bunk bed for children up to a height of 1.75 meters can also be found here. A canopy-bed, a wall which is covered with noble red and golden cloth and a three-parted, gold-framed mirror are the highlights of the majestic bed chamber. Hand-made reddish glass washstands add high standard to the bathroom. King Manuel

The Suite "König Manuel" is characterised by splendour and luxury. A couch and royal blue armchairs, silky blue-striped curtains, an old oak wood floor, and a colossal golden crown can be found in the living area, which is also furnished with a bunk bed for children up to a height of 1.75 metres.
