Eger's established hotel complex, the Hotel Eger Park, is situated in the town centre, next to the renovated Gárdonyi Géza Theatre. The Park Hotel **** (built in baroque style at the beginning of the 20th century) has been privately owned from 2002 as well as the Eger Hotel*** (built at the beginning of the 1980s) and the new wing which connects the two buildings. The hotel complex, which used to be considered a modern one, was run in unworthy circumstances at the beginning of the 21st century.
